Campus Flood Relief Drive: Supporting Our Acadia Community
When members of our community need support, we come together. Following the significant flooding at War Memorial House, the Acadia Students’ Union (ASU) and the ASU Food Cupboard (ASUFC) are working together to support students who have been affected.
📅 Flood Relief Drive Details
📍 Location: Clark Commons, Acadia University
🗓️ Dates: Monday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 27, 2026
⏰ Time: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on both days
Supporting Our Acadia Community
Over the weekend, War Memorial House, one of Acadia University’s residence buildings, experienced significant flooding. Students were evacuated and temporarily relocated to other residences across campus.
Unfortunately, some students lost essential belongings, personal valuables, and everyday necessities. Replacing these items can create an unexpected financial burden, adding further stress to an already difficult situation.
We want these students to know that they are not alone. By coming together as a campus community, we can help replace essential items, ease some of the financial pressure, and show our fellow Acadia students that we are here for them.
The ASU and ASUFC invite students, faculty, staff, departments, and campus partners to participate in the Campus Flood Relief Drive. Every donation, contribution, and hour of volunteer time can make a meaningful difference.

Physical donations are incredibly valuable, but financial contributions can also provide essential support.
Monetary donations will help students replace belongings damaged or lost in the flooding and purchase necessities that may not be available through physical donations.
If you would like to contribute financially, donations can be made through Acadia University's Student Emergency Fund.
Every contribution, regardless of size, can help relieve some of the unexpected financial pressure faced by students during this difficult time.
