Axes in Action is the Acadia Students’ Union’s annual fundraising campaign supporting food security in the Acadia and Wolfville community. Throughout the academic year, students, staff, local businesses, and community members come together through events, activities, and fundraising initiatives to help make sure everyone has access to the food they need.
From trivia and karaoke nights to bake sales, craft fairs, themed fundraising days, and more, every contribution helps us build a stronger, more food-secure community.

WHAT IS AXES IN ACTION?
Axes in Action is the Acadia Students’ Union’s annual fundraising campaign, bringing students and the wider community together to support food security in Wolfville and the surrounding area. Throughout the academic year, we organize a variety of fun and engaging fundraising activities, including trivia and karaoke nights, bake sales, craft fairs, themed fundraising days, social media campaigns, and the sale of Axes in Action stickers and magnets. Every event and donation helps us make a positive impact in our community.

The goal of Axes in Action is to help combat food insecurity in the Town of Wolfville and the Acadia community. Our long-term vision is to help build a sustainable support system for local food security initiatives, contributing to a stronger, healthier, and more connected community where everyone has access to the food they need.
WHO RUNS AXES IN ACTION?
We run it together! Axes in Action is a community-driven initiative led by the Acadia Students’ Union (ASU), with the support and participation of Acadia University students and members of the Wolfville community. Donors, volunteers, local businesses, campus groups, and community partners all play an important role in making the campaign a success. It truly takes all of us to make a difference!

There are several easy ways to support Axes in Action!
You can make a donation by debit or credit card at our fundraising events, or donate using cash or e-transfer. To donate by e-transfer, please send your contribution to
and include “Axes in Action” in the message box so we can make sure your donation is properly directed to the campaign.

The ASU Food Cupboard (ASUFC) is a service of the Acadia Students' Union that works to support students experiencing food insecurity by providing access to food, essential resources, and additional support services.
