Food Cupboard
Access to non-perishable food items and other essentials.
Community Fridge
Fresh and rescued food items available when supplies permit.
Hygiene & Personal Care Items
Basic hygiene products available to students in need.
Grocery Gift Card
Financial assistance through grocery gift cards for eligible students during periods of increased need or when regular services are unavailable.

The ASUFC is designed to be a low-barrier, judgment-free, and welcoming resource that supports students from all walks of life, recognizing that food insecurity can affect anyone regardless of background or circumstance. Whether a student needs occasional support during a difficult month or ongoing assistance throughout the academic year, the ASUFC exists to ensure students have access to care, nourishment, and community in a way that is accessible, dignified, and compassionate.

No. The ASU Food Cupboard operates on a foundation of trust, dignity, and respect. We understand that financial hardship can look different for everyone, and we do not require students to provide proof of income or financial need to access our services. If you feel that additional support would be helpful, we encourage you to reach out.

Accessing the ASU Food Cupboard is simple. Students can visit the ASUFC during our hours of operation at our new location on the main level of Willet House. Upon arrival, students are encouraged to tap their Acadia student ID card on the card reader before entering the space. A member of our dedicated volunteer team will be there to welcome and assist you.

We aim to review and respond to all grocery gift card applications within five business days. If you have submitted an application and have not heard back after this time, please contact us directly and we will be happy to provide an update.

Yes. The ASU Food Cupboard is available to all eligible Acadia University students, including international students. We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where every student can access support with dignity and without judgment

The ASU Food Cupboard (ASUFC) is currently located on the main level of Willet House, located at 31 University Avenue, Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Willet House is situated on Acadia University's campus and serves as the temporary home of the ASUFC while the Students' Union Building (SUB) undergoes renovations. If you have trouble finding the space, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are always happy to help direct students to the Food Cupboard and ensure they can access the support they need

Yes! The ASU Food Cupboard is available to all eligible Acadia University students, whether they live on campus, off campus, or commute to campus

The ASUFC offers a variety of supports that may include pantry staples, fresh produce, frozen meals, snacks, personal hygiene products, household essentials, and other resources, depending on availability.

Students are encouraged to bring their Acadia Student ID card and tap it on the card reader upon arrival. Bringing a reusable bag is also helpful when picking up food and supplies.

There are many ways to get involved, including volunteering, donating food or funds, organizing a donation drive, or partnering with us through a local business or organization

Yes! The ASUFC relies on a dedicated team of student volunteers who help with food distribution, stocking shelves, food rescue initiatives, events, and other projects throughout the year
