Funding

Student Activity Fund

The Student Activity Fund is a collaborative initiative between the Acadia Students’ Union (ASU) and Acadia University, designed to encourage student engagement through hosting and participating in events both on and off campus. This fund primarily supports activities related to student travel, networking opportunities, club events, and a variety of other student-centered programs. By providing financial assistance, the fund aims to foster an enriched student experience and promote community building, leadership development, and networking among students.

Wellness Fund

The Wellness Fund is dedicated to promoting health and well-being among students on campus. This fund offers financial support for student-led programming that enhances wellness within the Acadia community. Applications are evaluated based on how effectively they support and improve the overall well-being of a group of Acadia students, with a strong emphasis on mental, physical, and emotional wellness. The fund helps foster a healthier campus environment by empowering students to implement initiatives that positively impact the broader student body.

ASU’s Registered Student Organization

The Acadia Students' Union (ASU) Registered Student Organizations—including clubs, societies, and associations—play a pivotal role in enriching campus life. These groups not only offer students the chance to connect with like-minded peers, engage in exciting activities, and build lasting friendships, but they also provide valuable opportunities for personal growth, leadership, and involvement in the broader university community. By participating in these organizations, students can enhance their university experience beyond academics, developing essential skills and building networks.

As a cornerstone of student life, these organizations are actively supported by the Acadia Students' Union. The ASU is committed to promoting, coordinating, and guiding the activities of student-led groups. A key part of this responsibility includes helping with funding, providing resources, and offering ongoing support to ensure that these organizations thrive.
