ASU Fall By-Election 2026
The ASU Fall By-Election 2026 is here — and it all starts with one very important step: NOMINATIONS! 🙋♀️🙋♂️
Before campaigning can begin, before students can meet the candidates, and before anyone can vote, we need candidates on the ballot. Whether you’ve been thinking about getting involved with the ASU, want to represent students, or know someone who would be great in one of these roles, now is the time to get ready!
📅 Nominations open Saturday, September 26 and close Wednesday, October 7.
Once nominations open, the Nomination Form and Signature Collection Sheet will be available through the ASU website, @acadiastudents and our Linktree.
Getting started is simple:

📣 Nominations: Sept. 26 – Oct. 7
🤝 All-Candidates Meeting: Oct. 18
📢 Campaign: Oct. 19–25
🎤 Debate / Q&A: Oct. 21
🗳️ Voting: Oct. 26–29
⏰ Voting closes: Oct. 29 at 12 PM

🔥 Why do Nomination Matter?
Nominations are one of the most important parts of the election process. More students running means more ideas, more voices, more conversations and more choices on the ballot.
You don’t need to wait for someone else to step forward.
Think you’d be a good fit? Put your name forward! 🙋
Know a classmate, friend or fellow student who would be great in one of these roles? Encourage them to run! Sometimes all it takes is someone saying, “Hey, I think you’d be great at this.”

ASU Experience Survey
The ASU is collecting responses for our Student Experience Survey. The goal of this survey is to gather student input to support university, municipal, provincial and federal advocacy efforts. All responses will remain anonymous. The data collected will be compiled to share with stakeholders.

Every year, the Acadia Students’ Union (ASU) holds a General Election in the winter to elect student leaders who represent you, advocate for your needs, and bring new ideas to life. In the fall, we run a By-Election to fill any remaining positions and keep the momentum going.
